Lucio Milani

His main research activity deals with the DNA analysis one can find in human bone remains. These studies are especially conducted on finds of Homo Neanderthalensis and of Homo Sapiens from Middle and Upper Paleolithic in order to explain the evolutionary relationship between the two species and the population dynamics of that period. He regularly carries out teaching projects about man’s evolution and prehistory at several boards, institutes, museums and schools (especially Primary and High schools) in order to spread the correct knowledge of the subject and improve its communication dynamics; part of thi job deals with the accessibility to museum collections by blind or short-sighted people.
He constantly takes part in prehistorical and paleontological excavations in order to implement his experience in conducting, recovering and recognizing the finds in an ancient site. In this context experimental workshops of flint-stone manufacturing are held to reproduce prehistorical stone tools.
